Emcee and Narrator, Robert Hansen Collegiate Opera Scenes Competition, National Opera Association National Conference, Savannah Georgia

Paul will preside over the NOA Collegiate Opera Scenes Competition, along with Jen Stephenson, for the 12th year.  This is a lively annual event showcasing young artists from around the U.S.

Paul also serves NOA as the chair of the Dominick Argento Chamber Opera Competition.

Poets of the Dawn, WORLD PREMIERE performance, Music by Juliana Hall

Along with pianist Kevin Chance, Paul will perform the world premiere of a new song cycle by Juliana Hall set to poems by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.  They will be joined by the composer and scholars JD Wilson and Tricia McElroy for conversation about the music and poetry.

Paul will join colleagues David Tayloe and Kevin Chance at Ole Miss for a master class (Feb. 5) and recital (Feb. 6). This collaboration is funded by an SEC (Southeastern Conference) Travel Grant.

NOA National Conference 2024 in Phoenix/Tempe, Arizona, hosted by Arizona State University

Paul will once again preside over the annual Robert Hanson Collegiate Opera Scenes Competition, along with colleague Jen Stephenson. In addition, he will host and facilitate the activities of the Dominick Argento Chamber Opera Competition, including the full production of the winner of the last round, and the three finalists in the current round.
